Mural

Thanks to a REFI grant, our students spent the past five months bringing a powerful vision to life — a mural of our Phoenix mascot made entirely from recycled and found items! From bottle caps to game pieces, every piece tells a story of creativity, teamwork, and environmental awareness.

Led by English teacher Ms. Renee Evans and supported by artist Faith Evans-Haywood, students learned artistic techniques, collaborated closely, and stayed dedicated to completing the mural by the end of the school year. While the project had its challenges, the pride felt upon completion was well worth it.

This mural is more than just art — it’s a symbol of our school spirit and a reminder that, like the Phoenix, we can rise, rebuild, and renew — beautifully and sustainably.

We’re incredibly proud of the vision, heart, and hard work our students and staff poured into this project!
