Rockingham County Public School’s Alternative Education program provides seventh through twelfth-grade students with an alternative to their current high school setting. Unique teaching strategies employed by caring teachers and counselors, enable students to succeed regardless of the obstacles encountered in their educational career or personal lives. It is our belief that student success results in the development of responsible citizens. Students at Rockingham Academy can apply to attend or could be referred due to previous discipline concerns.
Rockingham Academy focuses on meeting the needs of students and graduation requirements through traditional classroom instruction, Edgenuity (online classes), and curriculum packets. Students may also find success in the ISAEP/GED program in order to meet Virginia's high school graduation requirements. Students are also encouraged to participate in Massanutten Technical Center courses and internships to develop a career-ready future.
