Hello JCMES Families,
What a beautiful week it has been for our Spring Family Picnics! The sunshine and mild weather have made it the perfect setting to relax, laugh, and connect with one another. We have loved seeing so many of you join us for lunch outside, and it’s been a wonderful reminder of just how special our JCMES community is. Thank you for being part of it!
Here are a few important updates and reminders as we head into May:
Last Rolling Readers Book Cart of the Year
Our final Rolling Readers Book Cart is this Thursday and Friday. Students can stock up on books for summer reading—books are just $0.25 each and there’s no limit to how many they can buy!
May 1 – Grades PreK–2
May 2 – Grades 3–5
Field Day Volunteers & Snack Donations Needed
Field Day is coming soon, and we’re looking for volunteers to help run stations and keep things fun and organized! We’re also seeking donations of snacks to keep our students energized throughout the day.

Teacher Appreciation Week – May 5–9
Help us celebrate our incredible staff during Teacher Appreciation Week! We’re planning something fun each day and would love your help with a few remaining items—paper products, drinks, and desserts for Friday, May 9.

Sweets Ice Cream Night – May 13 PTO Meeting
Our May PTO meeting will be held at Sweets Ice Cream on Thursday, May 9, from 6–8 PM. PTO officers will be there to connect with families, share goals for next year, and of course—enjoy some sweet treats! A portion of all proceeds from 3–8 PM will go back to JCMES. Come for the ice cream, stay for the community!
