The final Friday of the school year is here! The last day of school is Tuesday, June 6th!

FIELD DAY!

Field Day at RA will be held from 1:45-2:15 on Tuesday for students who are not suspended or on Poor School Standing.

RCPS school policies apply.

FROM SCHOOL COUNSELOR, MS. MAY:

As the school year comes to a close, many students are finishing classes and earning credits. At RA, students receive their final grade and credit (high school students) when they complete the class. If the class is not complete, they will not receive the credit and will need to either continue the class in summer school, continue it next year, or enroll in the class (if returning to their home school). Report cards will come from the student's home school and will list the completed classes and grades.

In addition, advancing to the next grade level requires that the student have the following numbers of credits:

5 credits to be a 10th grader

10 credits to be an 11th grader

15 credits to be a 12th grader

If a student does not earn the required number of credits to advance to the next grade level, they will remain in their current grade level.

CHROMEBOOKS:

Chromebooks need to be returned to RA or to your child’s home school by Friday, June 9th.

PLACEMENT FOR 2023-2024:

Letters were mailed home detailing your child’s placement (RA, their home high or middle school, night school) for 2023-2024. A reminder that those placements were a committee decision.

As I mentioned in my last parent email, I will be retiring at the end of June. I have so thoroughly enjoyed working with you and your child.
